A leather slip for a single challenge coin. The most leather options.
The Peso Pocket v3 is the same slim slip as the original — coin slides in from the top, stays snug — but with nine leather options instead of five. That includes Badalassi Carlo Italian vegetable-tanned leather, which the original doesn't carry. Four sizes: 35mm through 50mm.
The basics
- Sizes: 35mm (1.4"), 40mm (1.6"), 45mm (1.75"), 50mm (1.97")
- Slip design — no snap, no zipper
- Full-grain leather, hand-stitched, hand-burnished edges
- Made by hand in my Kyiv workshop, one at a time
The leather (and why it's named on the label)
- Badalassi Carlo (Olmo, Tabacco) — Italian vegetable-tanned full-grain. Firm, builds a deep patina over time.
- Crazy Horse (Rusty, Pistachio) — waxed pull-up. Scratches rub out with your thumb, color shifts with carry.
- Ponte Wax (Tan, Pumpkin) — vegetable-tanned, smooth. Tan is neutral; Pumpkin is warm orange.
- Koala (Black, Cigar) — smooth, even, minimal marking.
- Ponte (Natural) — lighter natural color, vegetable-tanned, patinas gradually.
All full-grain — the top layer of the hide, not corrected or bonded scraps.
Who it's not for
If you don't need Badalassi Carlo and just want a simpler choice, the original Peso Pocket has the core leathers at the same price. If you carry two coins, the Peso Pocket Duo holds both side by side in the same format.
FAQ
How does the slip work?
The coin slides in from the top and sits snug. Pull it out from the bottom with your thumb or fingernail. No closure — friction holds it.
Will my coin fit?
Pick your coin's diameter: 35mm (1.4"), 40mm (1.6"), 45mm (1.75"), or 50mm (1.97"). Standard challenge coins are almost always one of these four sizes. When in doubt, measure your coin.
What's the difference between the v3 and the original Peso Pocket?
Same slip design. The v3 adds Badalassi Carlo (Olmo and Tabacco), Ponte Natural, and Pumpkin Ponte Wax — nine leathers vs five. Same four sizes. The original is simpler and the same price at the smaller sizes.
Does the leather scratch?
Crazy Horse (Rusty, Pistachio) marks with use — most scratches rub out with your thumb. All other leathers are smoother and mark less.
Who makes it and where?
