Headbanger Tail 9"

The Headbanger Tail 9" combines the patented erratic, evasive headbanging movement with a wiggling, jointed curly tail — the liveliest swimming action Headbanger makes. It works with a simple straight retrieve, but excels with pauses and twitches, and is built for northern pike, muskellunge, and lake trout.

When and how to fish it

The Floating version (0–5 ft) shines over shallow weed and in warm water when fish sit high. The Suspending version (5–8.5 ft) hangs motionless on the pause — deadly on followers. The Sinking version (6.5–13 ft) reaches deep edges and cold-water fish. When activity is low, slow everything down and let the curly tail do the work on the drop and the pause.
